Technovator and the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) signed a Memorandum of Collaboration on July 14, 2026, establishing the general framework for partnership between the two institutions. The document was signed by Viorel Bostan, Rector of UTM, and Maria Erhan, Founder and Executive Director of Technovator.
The memorandum strengthens a collaboration focused on technological innovation and tech talent growth, with an emphasis on professional training and activities related to science commercialization. The two parties aim to jointly develop projects and educational programs, support research and technology transfer to the business sector, and attract funding through international programs such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, EIT, COST, and Eureka.
The partnership is guided by principles of equality, transparency, and mutual benefit, with the goal of contributing to the development of Moldova’s innovation ecosystem, technological entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.
“UTM aims to be a university anchored in the European Research and Innovation Area, and that means we cannot stop at publications and patents. We want the results of our researchers to reach companies, generate products, and make a real contribution to Moldova’s economy. This partnership with Technovator gives us exactly the connection we needed between academia and business.” – Viorel Bostan, Rector of UTM.
“Our goal is clear: to accelerate the path from research to commercialization and connect UTM to international collaborations that can turn scientific results from here into real DeepTech products – with market fit, impact, and visibility on a global scale.” – Maria Erhan, Founder and Executive Director, Technovator
The concrete activities stemming from this framework – programs, courses, events, and joint projects – will be established through additional agreements and protocols as the collaboration progresses.
